Memory Care is health care provided for elderly who have Alzheimer's, Lewy Body's, Parkinson's, or other memory impairments. Memory Care provides a secured environment for residents who have the tendency to wander and provides significant monitoring for safety. These may be elderly who are unable to use a call light and/or make their needs known. Services required can be items such as medication management, bathing and dressing, grooming, assistance with eating, etc. Memory Care communities typically have a higher staffing ratio than most all regular assisted living communities due to the fact that residents residing in Memory Care require more assistance and have greater needs.
